We were delighted to hear from several former members, unfortunately, due to a rather nasty virus attack, we lost their details. If anyone wants to get in touch then please use the contact link or click here.

In the meantime we have received this email from John Dunlop.

I was very pleased to stumble on this site during some random web
browsing. I was a member of 1st Saltcoats from Primary 1 through until
the mid/late 70s when I left, after being awarded the Queen's badge.
The BB's , Friday nights, and the Melbourne chip shop are an indelible
memory for me.
Anyway, congratulations on the web site.

Do you remember Jimmy Laughlan?

I was a member of St. Cuthbert's Boys brigade in the mid. thirties, we used to have our meetings in what is now the wee museum, I can't remember what night of the week it was. We also had our Sunday School there before going to Church at St. Cuthbert's on Sunday morning, also our Bible class was in that wee Church.I can't remember any of the dates or names as it quite a long time, except the Minister's name was Rev. Rees, and he lived in the big manse in Manse St. which was across the St. from the Salvation Army Hall (almost).
